Seoul : North Korea on Friday confirmed it had scrutinized the new target, as President Joe Biden warned of the consequences if Pyongyang escalates the situation amid nuclear talks.

A North Korean official with Central News Agency said the "new types of projectiles" hit the east coast on Thursday. Photographs on the website of Northern Rodong Sinmun's main newspaper show a bow from a transport explosion amid flaming flames.

KCNA quoted Chief Executive Officer Py Pyong Chol, who oversaw the trial, as saying that the development of this new weapon “is crucial to strengthening the country's military capabilities and preventing all forms of military threats on the Korean Peninsula.”

Japanese officials said both weapons tested Thursday were ballistic missiles, banned by UN Security Council resolutions. According to South Korean authorities, North Korea fired two more arrows on Sunday but may have been the boat's missiles, unrestricted.

The test allegations were the first offensive in the North since Biden took office in January. Some experts say North Korea intends to put pressure on Biden's management to increase its power in future talks.

"We are consulting with our partners and our partners," Biden told a news conference Thursday. “And there will be answers if they choose to go up. We will respond appropriately. But I'm also good at some kind of communication, but it should be put in the final nuclear results. ”

The United States has called for a UN Security Council meeting to consider sanctions against North Korea, and is expected to be on Friday morning without a door to door. The committee includes representatives from all 15 nations in the council.

American and North Korean negotiations to curb North North nuclear ambitions have been in place for almost two years due to disputes over North American-led sanctions. In January, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said he would increase his weapons and build military strength in his country to counter what he called American hostility.

KCNA said the weight of the new weapon had been upgraded to 2.5 tons. It said Thursday's test also confirmed the reliability of the version of a solid portable petrol engine, which would increase the movement of the arrows, as well as its low, controllable motion.

South Korean observers have suggested that the weapon may have been an advanced North Korean sculpture made by Russia's Iskander, a short-range missile designed to fly at low altitudes and to improve flight direction. They said there was a better chance of avoiding arrow protection programs in South Korea.

Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi said on Friday that North Korea's new weapon was a new type of missile that was unveiled at a military fair in Pyongyang in January. Kishi said Japan would intensify its plan to protect the arrows "to ensure peace and security." - AP
