Chandigarh : India recorded 43,846 new cases of coronavirus per day, the highest number of one day so far this year, taking the total amount of COVID-19 to 1,15,99,130, according to Union Union Ministry updated data. on Sunday.
Registered with an increase of 11 consecutive days, the total number of job loss cases has risen to 3,09,087, now containing 2.66 percent of total infections, and the recovery rate has dropped to 95.96 percent, the data said.
The daily incidence of disease was the highest recorded in 115 days. The death toll has risen to 1,59,755 with 197 deaths daily, the highest number in 97 days, data updated at 8 a.m. show.

At least 44,489 new diseases were recorded in a 24-hour period on November 26.
The number of people recovering from the disease has risen to 1,11,30,288, with a mortality rate of 1.38%, according to data.
India’s COVID-19 price had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It passed by 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on September October 11, it fell 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and skipped the mark of one crore on December 19.
According to ICMR, 23,35,65,119 samples were tested until March 20 and 11,33,602 samples were tested on Saturday.
The 197 new deaths included 92 from Maharashtra, 38 from Punjab, 15 from Kerala and 11 from Chhattisgarh.
A total of 1,59,755 people have been reported dead so far in the country including 53,300 from Maharashtra, 12,590 from Tamil Nadu, 12,432 from Karnataka, 10,955 from Delhi, 10,303 from West Bengal, and 8 758 from Uttar Pradesh and 7 189 from Andhra Pradesh.
The Department of Health has emphasized that more than 70 percent of deaths are due to humorous circumstances.
"Our statistics are reconciled with the Medical Research Council of India," the Department said on its website, adding that the logistical distribution of statistics depends on validation and recurrence. PTI
