New Delhi : China has the most powerful military force in the world while India ranks fourth, according to a study released Sunday by defense website Military Direct.

"The USA, despite its large military budget, comes in second with 74 points, followed by Russia with 69, India with 61 and France with 58. The UK is probably in the Top 10, coming in ninth with 43 points. , "says the study.

The study states that the "military power index" was calculated after various factors including budgets, the number of unemployed and unarmed military personnel, total air, sea, land and nuclear resources, median wages, and equipment weight.

China has the most powerful military force in the world, scoring 82 out of 100 points in the index, it notes.

"Based on these estimates, which include budget, men's, and things like air and maritime power, it suggests that China will emerge as a top dog in a major war," he said.

The largest military debt of USD 732 billion a year is the USA, it notes, adding that China ranks second with USD 261 billion, followed by India with USD 71 billion.

"China will win by sea, USA by plane and Russia by world" in this war of vision, it said.

"The United States has won a total of 14,141 space warfare missions compared to Russia's 4,682 Russia and China's 3,588. 41,641, "it says.
