Ghaziabad : Farmers protesting against the new farm rules are ready to speak out if the center invites them, BKU leader Rakesh Tikait said on Sunday, concluding that talks would continue there until the end of January 22 and that demands remain unchanged.
He said in order for the talks to resume, the government should invite Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), a committee representing protests at the three Delhi border in Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur from November 2020.
"Negotiations with the government will resume in the same area where they ended on January 22. The demands are the same - all three 'black' rules on the farm must be removed, a new law enacted to ensure MSP (minimum subsistence support) on crops," Tikait was quoted as saying in a statement issued by BKU management Dharmendra Malik. .

The BKU national spokesperson's response was in response to Haryana Home Affairs Minister Anil Vij urging Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar to continue talks with protesting farmers amid fears of an imminent coronavirus threat.
Emphasizing that the increase in coronavirus cases is visible across the country and the situation is deteriorating in Haryana, Vij said he was concerned about farmers protesting at the state border with Delhi.
Protesters and the government last held official talks on a controversial issue on January 22 but the problem persisted. On January 26, protesters staged a 'tractor show' in Delhi that had turned into violence involving farmers and police in the national capital.
