Mandi : BJP Mandi MP for Himachal Pradesh Ram Swaroop Sharma was found hanging from the roof of his official house in New Delhi on Wednesday, police said.
Delhi police pro Chinmoy Biswal said his body was found hanging from a ceiling. He was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead at the time.
Sharma was allegedly suffering from severe depression and had been receiving treatment for the past six months. He was alone at his home in Delhi as his wife was on her way to Char Dhaam. Sharma's security officer was in Mandi.

The Prima facie, who appears to be a suicide bomber, said police, adding that no suicide note was found on the scene.
Investigations are ongoing and the cause of his death will be determined after a post-mortem examination, police said.
According to police, a call was made by the Police Control Room (PCR) at 7.45am about his aide after parliament did not respond to his knock.
A police team arrived and forcibly opened the door and found Sharma being handed over by a fan on the roof.
The BJP has canceled its party meeting in Parliament following Sharma's death. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla informed the House of Sharma's passing. Making this announcement, the evil Birla made a reference to concealing the details and postponed the House until 1 p.m.
Born in Jalpehar village in Mandi district on June 10, 1958, Sharma was a double member of parliament.
Lok Sabha was elected in 16th and 17th place from Mandi constituency in Parliament in 2014 and 2019 respectively.
Sharma is currently a Member of the Executive Committee on Foreign Affairs, and a Consultative Committee, Department of Foreign Affairs.
He is survived by his wife and three sons. —By PTI
