Even in these socially distant times, some folks are having close encounters of some kind.
UFO Day was July 2, an event that Pennsylvania’s official Twitter account observed with a map of UFO sightings reported around the state so far in 2020.
The tweet placed a small cluster of flying saucers around the Lehigh Valley, which got us here at lehighvalleylive.com curious. What are people seeing (or, at least, what do they think they are seeing) in our skies?

Just for fun, we went to the source, the National UFO Reporting Center, and did a quick dig through their online database of UFO sightings for anything local and found a dozen between January and June. They vary from a plane-like object hovering over warehouses to a bright, stationary light that may or may not have been the planet Venus.
We’re not saying it was aliens, and we’re not exactly seeking out rational explanations, though we’re sure they exist. But for whatever enjoyment or interest it’s worth in these strange times, here are the unedited UFO sightings in the Lehigh Valley so far in 2020.
