New Delhi : The number of confirmed cases of the highly contagious coronavirus in India has 3.95 lakh-mark while the death toll has increased to 12,948, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. As per the Health Ministry, the number of active coronavirus cases in India currently stands at 1,68,269 while over 2.13 lakh people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.
Amid the alarming spike in the number of coronavirus cases, the government yesterday asked states to replicate the best practices implemented by Karnataka, which includes comprehensive contact tracing of COVID-19 cases and physical or phone-based household survey, for better management.
