CORONAVIRUS Death toll due to coronavirus COVID-19 in India rises to 13 as 65-year-old man dies in Srinagar |
Srinagar : Coronavirus Pandemic LIVE Updates: The central government has allowed the doorstep delivery of medicines and drugs to people in view of the coronavirus pandemic and a notification to this effect will be soon published in the Gazette of India. The move came even as the number of infections across the country continued to soar and Telangana extended its lockdown to April 16.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today announced a Rs 1.7 lakh crore relief package for those hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic that has claimed 16 lives in the country. The stimulus includes Rs 50 lakh per person insurance cover for doctors, paramedic, healthcare workers dealing with coronavirus outbreak as well as 5 kg wheat or rice and 1 kg of preferred pulses for free every month for the next three months for 80 crore poor people.

Finance Ministry on Coronavirus Relief Measures | Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, speaking about the coronavirus relief measures amid the coronavirus outbreak said the government would pay EPF contribution both of the employer and employee for the next three months; 24 per cent contribution in total.
