The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against four Punjab Police personnel in connection with the alleged assault on Colonel Pushpinder Bath, a serving Indian Army officer. The development marks a significant step in a case that had triggered widespread outrage and renewed debate over police conduct and accountability.

According to officials, the chargesheet was submitted before a competent court after the CBI completed its investigation into the incident, which took place in Patiala district.
