Shimla : Himachal Pradesh is gearing up for another round of snowfall and rain in its high-altitude regions.

The recent weather patterns in Himachal Pradesh have brought notable changes. Snowfall has been reported in the higher regions like Kufri and Narkanda, which are popular destinations for winter tourism. These areas are now experiencing a blanket of snow, making them ideal for those seeking winter sports and scenic snowy landscapes.

Meanwhile, rainfall has affected the lower regions of the state. Areas with lower elevations have been experiencing rainfall, which is expected to continue over the coming days. This rain could potentially lead to cooler temperatures in these regions, as well as concerns about road conditions and transportation due to the wet weather.

As winter progresses, these conditions may also affect local agriculture, particularly in terms of crop protection and maintenance. Overall, the snowfall and rainfall are typical for the winter season in Himachal Pradesh, which sees a mixture of snowy conditions in the higher altitudes and rain at lower levels.

The weather department had issued a forecast for light to moderate snowfall from Wednesday night till Thursday night.

As per the forecast, the higher reaches of Shimla, Kullu, Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti, Kangra and Chamba could receive good snowfall throughout the day.
