Fighting between factions in Congress as Navjot Sidhu visits Khatkar Kalan

Nawanshahr : Ugly scenes of infighting among the various Congress groups were seen at Khatkar Kalan ahead of the scheduled visit of Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee chief Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Sidhu said, "I have come here to seek the directions from the land of the martyr. I wish all Punjabis take strength from Bhagat Singh and set out on 'haq ate sach di ladai'. Every Punjabi must consider himself to be a stakeholder in the ongoing quest to regain prosperity for the state."

Farmers blocked the road after Sidhu left the spot. They held the protest in rain to show their anger against Sidhu “not hearing their issues”.
