Washington : The U.S. Supreme Court has welcomed the first visit by India's Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to India's "partner partners," highlighting the importance of the two countries' most important obligations for security and stability in the Indo-Pacific amidst Chinese violence.


Austin is on his first three-nation trip overseas. He visited Japan and South Korea before visiting India.


"Congratulations to Austin Secretary of Defense Austin on his successful visit to India," wrote Twitter Filemon Vela, the Democratic Party's Deputy Chairman-elect, Joe Biden.



"I'm looking forward to working to strengthen Indo-Pacific relations," said Vela, a senior member of Spain's House of Representatives.

Congressman Frank Pallone, Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, welcomed the visit to India in Austin.



“I am pleased to see that the Secretary of Defense is collaborating with our Indian counterparts. "President Biden has shown that he is committed to strengthening US-India cooperation with a view to promoting stability throughout the region," he said.


The changing situation in the Indo-Pacific region after the rise of military muscle mass in China has become a major talking point among the world's leading countries. The US has been keen to make Quad a security base to test China's growing commitment.



Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy, in a tweet, said she was encouraged by the measures to put alliance at the center of the US foreign policy process. "Working with other members of the" Quad "- India, Japan, Australia - is crucial in protecting our interests in the Indo-Pacific and preventing Chinese violence," he said.


His visit to India comes days after the top leadership of four Quad-members - India, US, Japan and Australia - vowed to increase their cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.



In a tweet, Congressman Anthony Brown congratulated Austin on his successful visit to India.


“Strategic cooperation between the US and India is critical to security and stability in the region. Strengthening this partnership enables us to work together more freely and to open up Indo Pacific, ”he said. PTI
