Farmers Protest Delhi Live : 6th round of talks between govt and farmers' unions underway

Chandigarh : The sixth round of talks between the government and protesting farmers began at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

The government is being represented by Union minister Narender Singh Tomar and  Piyush Goyal.

Farmers have been protesting at the borders of the national capital for more than a month against the three new farm laws. They claim that the new laws will rob them of the MSP cushion and that they will be left at the mercy of big corporates.

On the other hand, the government claims that the new laws will improve the lot of the farmers.

Despite the five rounds of talks between the government and the farmer unions, the stalemate continues.
