Ludhiana : A Nepalese servant has struck again. This time, at a house in Gurdev Nagar from where goods and valuables worth lakhs were stolen by a servant with the help of his accomplices.
The house belongs to Sandeep Ghai who owns a hosiery in Focal Point.
The police registered a theft case against the servant, Khem Bahadur, a native of Nepal, and also sounded an alert on the Nepal border to prevent the suspect from crossing the border.

The moment the incident came to light during the wee hours on Thursday, DCP (Crime) SPS Dhindsa, ADCP 3 Sameer Verma, and other police officials reached the spot for investigation. Even the team of forensic experts was also called at the spot to collect evidences.
As per the police, on Wednesday night, Sandeep, along with his wife and two children, has gone out for dinner, while his mother, servant Khem Bahadur, a guard and an 11-year-old servant were present at the house.
At around 2 am when they returned home, he was shocked to see that the guard was in an semi- unconscious state while his mother was tied with a piece of cloth and the 11-year-old servant was in a state of shock as it seemed that he was beaten up.
The police said due to Covid, a Nepalese servant, who was working in the house for the past 20 years, had gone to Nepal. Now, for the past two months, a new Nepalese servant, Khem Bahadur, was employed by the owner.
As per ADCP 3 Sameer Verma, the house owner had not done police verification of the servant.
He said before committing the crime, the servant had called two of his accomplices to the house. A CCTV camera had captured the suspect and efforts were on to nab the culprits.
