NEW DELHI : Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Saturday evening. The news was disclosed by the actors on social media. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan's wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Amitabh Bachchan's wife, actress Jaya Bachchan's antigen test reports were negative. Abhishek and Aishwarya's daughter, Aaradhya, also tested negative.
As per reports, Aishwarya, Jaya and Aaradhya have also taken swab tests and the reports for the same will be coming in today. All tests were carried out at Nanavati Hospital, where the father-son duo are admitted.
Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan disclosed the news on social media.
"I have tested Covid-19 positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested," Big B wrote.

Abhishek Bachchan wrote, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for Covid 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."
In another tweet, he added, "The BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them."
One of Amitabh Bachchan's doctors spoke to India Today Television and said that the superstar had been complaining of breathlessness over the last couple of days. He took a Covid-19 test and the results said positive on Saturday evening, following which he was admitted to the hospital.
