Ajmer: A scuffle broke out between two Congress workers during at a condolence meeting in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The meeting was organised by the party to pay tribute to the 20 Indian Army personnel who lost their lives for the nation in the Galwan Valley clash. 

The incident took place on Friday when Congress leaders had gathered to pay the tributes and salute the Galwan bravehearts. However, meanwhile, they got into a fight over getting a photograph clicked.

Senior leaders of Ajmer Congress were present on the spot and witnessed the fight between the two workers. However, no case was registered by the police.

According to the Times of India, Ajmer city Congress president Vijay Jain later told reporters that neither of the workers involved in the fight were party office bearers. He condemned the fight during the programme.

The scuffle started between the two-party workers - Shamsudeen and Sona Dhanwani - when senior leaders were offering flowers on the pictures of the bravehearts.

There were also allegations that no social distancing was maintained by the Congress party workers during the programme.

Rajasthan Congress pays tributes

The Rajasthan Congress had organised condolence meet across the state to pay homage to soldiers who lost their lives for the country in the recent violent India-China faceoff in Ladakh. Deputy Chief Minister and Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Sachin Pilot had also attended one such programme at Shahid Smarak in Jaipur.

We have gathered all to pay tribute to our martyrs. We are saluting our soldiers who laid down their lives defending the border. Today, the whole country stands with them, Pilot had said.

Twenty Indian soldiers lost their lives in the violent face-off in Galwan Valley on June 15 after an attempt by the Chinese troops to unilaterally change the status quo during de-escalation in eastern Ladakh.
