New Delhi  : The nationwide tally of confirmed coronavirus cases have crossed the 85,000-mark while the death toll has increased to 2,752, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, the recovery rate has inmproved to 35 per cent as 30,153 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

On Friday, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan chaired a Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting and stressed that the focus of COVID-19 management strategy needs to be on the states with the highest number of confirmed cases and fatalities. Also, focus is needed on treatment and case fatality management, for which timely detection and contact tracing were the best way forward.

9:41 am: 91 fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported in Rajasthan today till 9 am, taking total number of cases to 4,838 out of which 1,941 cases are active. Number of fatalities due to the disease stands at 125, says Rajasthan Health Department
