MUMBAI : Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who left Delhi by road on May 1, reached Mumbai on Saturday (May 2) in the evening. She was accompanied by her daughter Samara Sahni.
Riddhima couldn't attend her father Rishi Kapoor's last rites in Mumbai due to the ongoing lockdown. While she sought special permission from Delhi Police and got a pass, she couldn't fly. Therefore, she took the road route to Mumbai from the capital on Friday.

Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30 after a two-year long battle with leukemia. He was cremated at Mumbai's Chandanwadi Crematorium on Thursday in the presence of a few members of his family and friends.
While leaving from Delhi to Mumbai, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to social media and posted an Instagram story. Sharing a video taken in her car, she wrote, "Driving home Ma. Enroute Mumbai (sic)."

Riddhima couldn't be present physically at the Chandanwadi Crematorium, but she saw Ranbir and the family performing the last rites over a video call.
The mortal remains of Rishi Kapoor were taken directly to the crematorium from Mumbai's HN Reliance Hospital on Thursday afternoon. Only 20 of Rishi Kapoor's family members and close friends were allowed to be part of his last journey. Ranbir Kapoor, who performed the last rites, was accompanied by girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. His cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan was also present with husband Saif Ali Khan. Ranbir's other cousins Armaan Jain and Aadar Jain also attended the funeral with their parents Rima Jain and Manoj Jain.
