Ukraine reached 10,000 coronavirus cases today as the government urged the public to be patient and not violate lockdown measures that have kept the country's death toll far lower than in much of western Europe.
The government shut businesses such as cafes, restaurants, markets and cinemas in March, closed its borders to foreign citizens and shut down almost all air and rail travel, causing a spike in job losses. (Input from Reuters)

Airports and airlines in India are preparing their own standard operating procedures to resume services at 30 percent of the usual schedule, once the lockdown ends.

Most Americans cannot or will not use COVID-19 contact tracing apps: Poll
More than half of all Americans either do not own smartphones or would not use apps backed by Alphabet Inc's Google and Apple Inc to trace who has been exposed to the coronavirus, according to a poll by the Washington Post and the University of Maryland.
The two tech companies have been working with public health experts and researchers to write apps that people can use to notify those they have come in contact with if they come down with COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus.
A scramble for coronavirus apps that do no harm

To underscore his confidence, Trump said he plans to resume out-of-state travel after spending more than a month mostly cooped up in the White House, starting with a trip to Arizona next week.

The Indian Embassy in the US has started contacting Indian nationals who wish to return home once the international travel lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic is lifted.
The move comes days after the Centre indicated that a decision will be taken to bring back the Indian nationals stranded abroad after assessing the situation.
